So today is the day :). It has been a dream of mine to be featured over at CGSociety. I am honored and beyond stoked to finally achieve this. The folks at CGTalk are some of the most supportive people I’ve met and want to give a BIG thank you to Paul Hellard, Kirsty Parkin and Damian Snelgrove!

It’s official! I’m excited to announce that my texture painting course is officially open to all!

I’m still in the midst of getting everything together for the course but I should be done with all the material in a week or two.

Extremely stoked to see the turn out and get people hooked on Mari and texturing!

I am pleased to announce that I have officially accepted a role as Instructor with CGWorkshops in association with Ballistic Media! I will be teaching an 8 week online course on how to paint a creature using MARI. I am super stoked about it and cannot wait to begin.

The course will begin October 10th and will be featuring a wonderful creature model provided by Bruno Melo.

Stay tuned! More details will surface in the coming months!

I am VERY excited to announce that I have officially accepted the Lead Texture Painter role with Image Engine! My first day is actually tomorrow and I cannot begin to explain how stoked I am to be a part of the Image Engine family. Image Engine really made their mark and stunned the world with the work they accomplished on “District 9”, and I think a lot of people, myself included, are eagerly waiting for what they do next. I cannot divulge much on the current project I am slated for but I can say that it is going to be something very special. Thank you to Jimmy Ockey, Kate Tarbard and my good friend Rhys Claringbull for believing in me and making this transition a smooth one!

After much deliberation and consideration, I’ve decided to leave Digital Domain. I know my time here has been brief however I will definitely miss all of the people and friends I have here. The last 10 months here at DD have been quite the roller coaster, experiencing a lot of unforeseen obstacles and pitfalls. But I am excited about the future and certainly excited to see how DD pulls off Jack the Giant Killer.

My last day here will be this Wednesday.

I want to thank in particular, Stephen Rosenbaum for giving me the opportunity to work along side him and learn a thing or two 🙂 He is truly the real deal and anybody who has the chance to work with him should consider themselves lucky.

I already have plans lined up however I will add a new post on that later. For now, I just want to say farewell to everyone here and thanks for the time.
